The cable company's online payment services have helped it to become more efficient.

The majority of new Virgin Media customers are choosing to view and pay their bills online.

E-billing and payment firm ebpSource revealed its partnership with Virgin has helped the cable broadband, TV and home phone provider reach two-thirds of all new subscribers with its online invoicing service.

According to ebpSource, this facility offers a number of advantages, including increased operational efficiency and reduced billing costs.

Cormac Connolly, director of self care at Virgin Media, said its partner's experience with the technology has been "invaluable" to the broadcaster's success in recent years, adding he is "truly proud" of the results the two have achieved.

Marketing and commercial director at ebpSource Steve Wright stated: "This has been a groundbreaking initiative and highlights the real business and customer benefits that mass adoption of e-billing and payment can bring."

The invoicing solutions firm offers its services to businesses in a number of markets, including postal providers, utilities companies, telecoms operators and financial groups.
