E-invoicing platform

My T-Mobile. It’s the name of T-Mobile’s online customer account environment, where you can check your account info, call traffic, data usage and invoices. And as from today you can access your My T-Mobile via Facebook. In addition to to the already existing website and mobile apps. To achieve the My T-Mobile integration with Facebook, T-Mobile has developed a Facebook app.

All in all it is quite a bold approach because most companies want to redirect and retain their customers in their website as much as possible. But it is also a very smart approach, because now customers and other Facebook visitors see T-Mobile much more.

And it increases customer convenience. For example, you only have to log in 1 time to access both your Facebook and your My T-Mobile account. Spoiler alert: it seems that the app is only available for customers in the Netherlands.

Be relevant to the customer. Not the other way around.

This is yet another clear signal that it is increasingly important to be relevant to the customer, to think from the customer needs and to move along with the customer. And not vice versa. And that that also applies to billing and payment. It increases customer loyalty, customer retention and turnover. Or as T-Mobile stated it:

-Both the normal and the mobile Internet customer behavior changes rapidly.
-Customers are not any longer easily tempted to visit corporate websites
-Customers increasingly determine what information they want to see where and when.
-In order to become or remain relevant to its customer, the supplier that has to move look for new ways to stay relevant.

Facebook app

Below is a picture of the My T-Mobile Facebook App. Besides the traffic and the bills, there is also a link to the T-Mobile’s Facebook page, a banner and your device is shown. The banner is adapted to the profile of the customer.

We have off course tried this app. And we have to say, it works like a charm. It confirms our feeling that social media will increasingly impact the way we deal with electronic invoices, e-bills and {tag online bill payment}.
