Purcon Retail procurement jobs are going increasingly paperless, after it was claimed that many are opting for e-invoicing to cut costs.
Firms
such as 7-Eleven, Tim Hortons and Restaurant Depot are beginning to see
the potential savings from eliminating inefficiencies that plague the
traditional invoicing process, according to Transcepta.
Transcepta
is a provider of electronic invoicing solutions to businesses that aims
to cut out paper invoices from every accounts department around the
world.
Restaurant Depot director of accounts payable Lora White
said: "We're really benefitting by moving away from the paper-based
invoicing process.
"My staff productivity is increasing and the trading relationships with my suppliers are improving as well."
Meanwhile,
David Kraulis, senior manager of financial operations at Tim Hortons,
explained that the move away from paper has helped the restaurant chain
to become more efficient, green and in position to expand the firm
without adding more costs.
The news comes after the Royal College of Nursing announced that its procurement processes were to go electronic. |
