World's Largest Online Marketplace to Rollout Legal Spend Management Platform to Legal Department and Firms Across the Globe
CT TyMetrix,
the premier provider of Web-based legal operations management solutions
for corporate law departments and claims organizations, today announced
that eBay, the world's largest online marketplace with more than 90
million active users, has chosen CT TyMetrix 360 as its global legal
spend management platform. eBay's selection of CT TyMetrix comes on the
heels of other large, global companies, including the Royal Bank of Canada
and Royal Philips Electronics choosing to work with the company –
furthering its reputation as the de facto legal spend management
experts. CT TyMetrix is a part of Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal
Services.
As
eBay's legal department works with more than 250 law firms around the
world, it was looking for a product that could provide it with robust
e-billing functionality, a proven track record of success and
straight-forward integration into its existing financial environment.
After a competitive search, eBay chose the CT TyMetrix 360 e-billing
and matter management tools to help it manage its legal operations more
efficiently and at lower cost. CT TyMetrix 360 will provide eBay with
access to customized financial reporting, integration with its existing
accounts payable systems and support to align in-house counsel with the
many law firms it works with across the globe. "After
looking into several options, we found that CT TyMetrix's industry
knowledge and expertise for matter management and e-billing meshed very
well with eBay's needs," said Lauren Giammona,
senior legal operations manager at eBay. "Among the capabilities that
we found especially attractive is the Dynamic Reporting feature which
will provide us with greater flexibility in creating and modifying
existing reports and a greater insight into our overall legal spend. We
also expect that the automated notification feature of the Dynamic
Workflow engine will save time and increase efficiency by driving this
business process. CT TyMetrix facilitated a rapid implementation
strategy for us that allows us to quickly take advantage of their spend
management solution so that we can meet our ambitious operational
excellence objectives."
"Our track record in attracting the world's leading companies to our solution speaks volumes," said John Weber,
general manager, CT TyMetrix. "CT TyMetrix is turned to time and again
by the world's most prestigious organizations to improve operational
efficiency and gain unprecedented insight into their businesses."
eBay's rollout was completed on August 16, 2010, four months after commencement of the project.
