The City of Long Beach (CLB) in California, US has selected Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing and Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management from US software applications provider Oracle Utilities for its utility billing replacement project.

Under the agreement, CLB is set to replace the old customer information system (CIS) with Oracle's integrated utility platform, which supports customer care, billing, credit and collections and payment processing along with field service scheduling, dispatch and communication.

Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing is set to provide CLB with an overview of customer data, helping to streamline billing processes. The city expects that the solution will also improve customer convenience by providing e-billing and online self-service features.
