Finnish e-procurement and e-invoicing software company Basware has entered an agreement to acquire share capital of German e-invoice network operator First BusinessPost, reuters.com indicates.

According to the same source, the reported price of the acquisition amounts to EUR 12 million. First BusinessPost operates in multiple markets and has offices in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Spain and Switzerland.

Basware's global open network allows suppliers to employ their existing e-invoicing offerings without the need to install proprietary technologies for connecting buyers and suppliers. Basware enables buyers and suppliers to use one interface to connect with their business partners either directly via Basware or through its e-invoicing network partners.
