Lifestyle brand Tommy Hilfiger Europe has gone live with an e-invoicing
service powered by Dutch provider of portal solutions for document
presentment Anachron.
The e-invoicing portal, which is presented in the look and feel of Tommy
Hilfiger's corporate website, is based upon the Anachron
software-as-a-service (SAAS) platform and is set to complement the
existing online self service capabilities offered by Tommy Hilfiger to
its non-EDI buyers.
The long-awaited European Multi-Stakeholder Forum (EMSF) on e-Invoicing
held its first meeting on 13 September 2011 in Brussels. The European
Commission established the forum following its policy communication
'Reaping the benefits of electronic invoicing', from December 2010.
The
Commission endorsed the recommendations of the earlier Expert Group to
form National Forums and a European Forum to advocate and advise on
e-Invoicing developments at the European and member-state levels. This
first meeting was co-chaired by DG Enterprise and Industry and DG
Internal Market, the meeting welcomed some 55 representatives to this
historic occasion.
Tieto, Nordea and Bottomline Technologies have taken a further step in
order to expand the reach for their e-invoicing customers. Bottomline
Technologies and Tieto are now exchanging e-invoices using ISO 20022
Financial invoice content standard and SWIFT's network. Invoices will be
sent from Tieto further via Nordea to the receiving customer Stora Enso
Finland.
In addition to the role of an e-invoicing service provider, Tieto acts
as a SWIFT Service Bureau and is thus able to provide SWIFT connectivity
to any interested corporate customer - for both Cash management and
trade finance services.

Qtel's e-billing services continue to make an environmental impact with
thousands more of its customers patronising the paperless online billing
system. To date, more than 40,000 Accounts belonging to over 25,000
customers have signed up for the e-Bill, which sends a secure PDF to
customers' email addresses, and removes the need for a paper bill.
To encourage more people to be take part on environmental awareness,
Qtel offered a range of exciting prizes anew to the customers who
sign-up for e-bill service before 1 October. As an added incentive,
customers who switch-over to the e-bill before 1 October are being
entered into a special draw where they can receive prizes including one
of 10 iPads or three sets of 25,000 Nojoom Points.
