Calipso signs South Consulting for e-invoice solution

Argentine software firm Calipso has signed a strategic technology alliance with Chilean e-invoice solutions provider South Consulting Signature , complementing Calipso's ERP offering, the companies said in a joint statement.

Transaction fees

Customers who elect to use MLGW's non-enrolled payment service and pay electronically from a bank account, ATM/debit card or Discover card--either by phone or the Internet--pay an additional transaction fee charged by the vendor, Kubra. The current payment is $.85 for electronic check or debit payment, and $3.00 for Discover. We are looking to reduce these charges, if possible.

ComEd to Donate Trees to Encourage Customers to Go Paperless

To raise awareness about the environmental benefits of going paperless, ComEd this month pledges to donate one tree for every 100 customers who enroll in e-Bill and direct debit in March. The trees will be purchased for planting at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Ill., to commemorate Arbor Day.

Several leading global and national express companies operating in Asian markets have begun 2008 by introducing new electronic/online service enhancements for customers. On the international front, that group includes TNT, FedEx and DHL, while at a national level, one recent example of such a development involves Indian operator Elbee Express.
