Ten years ago, when I was pretty ‘hip’ with the jargon, I heard it said that if Shakespeare were alive to witness how modern English is spoken and written, he would snap his quill pen! But, as my twenties fade further into the distant past, I can commiserate with the Bard on the loss of a familiar friend: English, as it was once taught to me.
As marketers, we have to stay in touch with the evolution of communication, not just as it adapts to the explosion of new channels, but also because the language itself is constantly transforming.
